We started our trip by going to Elk Grove for the twins baptism. Tom baptized Rebekah and John baptized Leah. Oma Heidi gave a talk about baptism and the covenant we make to take upon us the name of Jesus Christ, to stand as His witnesses in all times, in all things and in all places. When we are baptized we covenant with God to follow Christ and serve Him to the end. After Heidi I gave a talk about the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Leah received it through uncle John while Rebekah received it through uncle Tom. I explained how important it is to have the influence of the Holy Ghost in our daily lives and the many roles of the Holy Ghost. It was a really sweet experience to see these two nieces get baptized by their uncles. I am thankful for the opportunity I had to speak to them.
On this day, John and Alana met for the very first time. Thanks to Aimee’s prompting to get them to meet. 😉
After the baptism we had doughnuts in the parking lot and then left for Idaho right away.
